Planning for the 2020 Rose of the Shires Run is well underway. The start and finish points will be at The Aviator, Sywell. Thanks to their generosity we will have use of the Cirrus Suite for the registration, tea/coffee and the important bacon rolls.
Accommodation is also available at The Aviator Hotel for those coming from a distance.
If anyone wants to partake in a meal after the run or even in the evening please make your own bookings with The Aviator.
This year, as well as the traditional paper based registration form we are using an on-line registration form coupled with on-line Bank Transfers of the entry fee.
Currently neither are live yet but can be accessed by going to the Charity Runs menu item and then 2020.
Here is a link to the August issue of the Southampton and New Forest MGOC, I have included it as one of our members, Penny travelled with that club to Jersey. She intended to write a bit for More Graffiti but never finished so read about her trip via S&NF.
Northants MGOC members at Wilton Locks for the first breakfast outing.
Some 16 members met at the “Potting Shed” at Wilton Locks Garden Centre for breakfast on Sunday 28th July. It wasn’t the best of weather with continuous rain (what happened to the “scattered showers” Radio Northampton?). There was a fantastic choice of breakfast platters with most opting for the “Gardener” or the “Head Gardener”. Following the breaking of the fast there was a short run produced by Gary back to Overstone Manor (the Aviator wasn’t available). As it was there weren’t many takers for the run and the Overstone Manor was very crowded.
